“Farm Barrier” is the heat insulation paint that effectively reflects and scatters near infrared ray, which has the highest heat effect in the sunlight spectrum. As a result of global warming, the temperature in the summer season is rising from year to year. The temperature distribution was measured using the infrared camera (manufactured by NEC San-ei Instruments, Ltd. TH9100ML). Before application of the heat insulation paint (July 21), the roof temperatures at the near section (Electrical and electric laboratory) and the far section (Structure and materials laboratory) were almost the same. On the other hand, after application of the heat insulation paint (July 26), the temperature of Structure and materials laboratory roof, where the heat insulation paint was applied, was apparently lowered, and the temperature reduction effect of approximately 15 to 20°C was confirmed.
